GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE MACHINE
Our new milling machine Mod. K2 or K3 is a high precision movable column milling machine, using the latest technology. The axes are driven with servomotors through ball screw drives, utilizing roller guideways with sliding shoes at preloaded rollers on tempered and inserted guides. The advantages of the roller guideways are high rigidity and high load-bearing capacity as well as ensuring high geometrical accuracy and surface quality of the machined workpieces. The highly rigid roller guideways provides improved vibration behaviour, smaller vibration amplitudes and thus extends tool life. The ball screws are driven by brushless motor, toothed belt reduction unit and preloaded nuts. The linear measuring system is ensuring high geometrical precision of the machine.
The lubrication of the guides are controlled by a timer and alarm system for machine stopping.
The Y-axis has a ram section of 400 mm. The ram gravitational fallen is avoided by the prestress of the structure. The Z-axis has hydraulic counterbalance with gas accumulator and emergency brake.
The coolant system has back water tanks and has maximum pressure of 4 bar. The electric cabinet containing all transformers, drives, contactors is air conditioned.
The machine colours are RAL 7031/7044. The complete work enclosure has ergonomically designed doors, ensuring easy accessibility and view to the work area.
