In standard execution, the FCT 1000 lathe is equipped with a 12-station bi-directional toolturret using standard static VDI 60 (DIN 69880) tooling, resulting in lower toolholder costs.

A 12-position toolturret with driven tools (12,5 kW - VDI 60) is optionally available. In combination with the continuous C-axis, the machine can carry out complicated milling, drilling and tapping operations

When the customer wants to use long boring bars, as a special option, a 9 position tool disk which is working with the 12 positions tool turret is available. On the disc you have 6 positions VDI60 (static or driving tools) and 3 positions for tool holders according to DIN69881 prism location according VDI3425 nominal size 32 for boring bar applications.

The FCT 700 can be optionally equipped with two types of Y-axis:

• ±80 mm - VDI 60 from Sauter
• ± 200 mm with standard tool system

to enable off centre drilling, milling operations and surface milling.
