Automated Aluminum Shaft Machining Line
We are pleased to present a fully automated and standalone aluminum shaft machining line, made for our client in Turkey. This technologically advanced project combines a heavy-duty CNC lathe, the TUR 4MN, with a comprehensive shaft loading system. This project, implemented in collaboration with our partner, enables the integration of transportation, loading, and machining in a single production environment.
Automatic shaft delivery, precise lathe machining, and transfer of the finished part to subsequent stages of the production process without operator intervention were the main requirements this production line had to meet.
Machining is performed in a CNC lathe, and the entire process is monitored from an intuitive operator panel, which provides full control over machining parameters, system diagnostics, and production cycle monitoring. The transport system has been refined for stable part positioning and smooth part feeding into the work area. The entire process involves delivering the raw aluminum shaft using an infeed roller conveyor, then picking it up with an industrial robot and placing it in the lathe's clamping chuck. This solution increased process repeatability and eliminated errors resulting from manual lathe positioning.

Due to its complex and extensive design, the production line is equipped with a four-camera industrial camera system. This solution increases safety, minimizes the risk of downtime, and allows the operator to respond more quickly to any errors.
By combining the potential of a heavy-duty CNC lathe with an advanced loading system, the project is successfully implemented in modern, automated industrial production. The flexibility and scalability of the design allow for further expansion of the line as needed.
