Turning with constant and variable pitch. CNC lathe TUR 1550 MN - machine for special tasks
One of our latest projects is the TUR MN 1550 lathe, designed for machining heavy elements with diameters up to 1550 mm, lengths up to 2000 mm and weights up to 12,000 kg between centers.
The machine was designed to make spiral grooves in the material by turning with a constant and variable pitch and with a cylindrical and conical shape. The massive tool head with driven tools also allows for operations such as drilling, threading or face milling. Additional equipment is a deep boring attachment mounted directly on the support. The machine is mounted on a monolithic, cast iron bed and wide, deeply hardened and ground guides ensure precision work with large details. The whole guarantees long-term stability of the machine geometry.
