Double support - more options
Working with workpieces over 10 meters long is now easier than ever before, especially on a lathe as large as the TUR 3MN series. This four-guide CNC lathe for heavy-duty machining has been adapted to even more demanding machining operations.
In our latest machine, thanks to the use of two independent supports with different tooling systems, the operator can perform several machining operations on a single workpiece clamping. This solution helps eliminate production downtime caused by machine changeovers.
The left support, equipped with a Y-axis turret and driven tools, and the right support with a four-position tool turret and the option of mounting a milling attachment, provide the operator wide field of movement.
Furthermore, movable hydraulic steady rests with an independent Z-axis drive further support the efficient operation of the tool turrets. FAT HACO's four-guide lathes TUR 3MN feature intelligent solutions. Primarily, the arrangement of the steady rests and the tailstock on two rear guides and the independent supports on the two front guides. This allows the tool heads to bypass the steady rests without collision during machining.
