This is a special, refreshed version of the advanced FCT 700 HD CNC lathe with slant bed.
We plan to build a second such machine. This model is characterized by: double independent carriages operating on independent ball screws (left for the static tool head, right for the boring bar holder). The overall height of the machine is higher than standard to allow the tool head to be mounted above the headstock.
The double carriages allows for internal and external turning on one workpiece clamping, without the need to retool the machine. For external turning, there is no need to dismantle the boring bar from second carriage, which can be parked at the end of the machine. This gives the customer many possibilities and savings.
- Maximum turning diameter over bed 840 mm (Higher version)
- Distance between centers: 5100 mm
- A 12-position Baruffaldi TBR 250 turret installed on the left support, controlled by a fast servomotor, bidirectional, for VDI 50 static tools
- Reinforced deep boring bar attachment with a stable mounting on the right support, intended for mounting boring bars.
- Independent drive for hydraulic steady rests and NC tailstock.
